Chrysler 300 is set to end production by next year or in 2023.

But before the luxury automaker bids farewell to its iconic sedan, it is releasing an all-new limited edition 2023 Chrysler 300C, running the V8 Hemi engine before it sets its final curtain call.

DETROIT, MI – SEPTEMBER 13: Chrysler Brand CEO Christine Feuell introduces a special-edition Chrysler 300C at the 2022 North American International Auto Show September 13, 2022 in Detroit, Michigan.

Now that the iconic 300C is set to bid farewell, some are wondering whether the giant carmaker is looking to replace it with an electrified version in the near future.

Chrysler 300 Sedan is Set to End Production

According to the latest report by CNBC, Chrysler is ending the production of its well-known 300 full-sized sedan come 2023, after decades of hitting the roads.

And as such, the renowned automaker is sending off its iconic sedan quite notably as it introduces the new performance version of the 300.

CNBC notes in its report that the 300 sedan first saw the light of day way back in 1955. And decades since it first rolled out on the roads, it made its much-awaited comeback in 2005.

But several years after its resurrection, it appears that the iconic sedan is bidding farewell this 2023 as it officially ends its production.

JAKARTA, INDONESIA – AUGUST 19: A Chrysler 300 is displayed in The 23rd Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) at JI EXPO Kemayoran on August 19, 2015 in Jakarta, Indonesia.

It is worth mentioning that the Chrysler 300 is popularly known as the “mini-Bentley” due to its resemblance in its grill and overall look.

While the 300 has once been highly popular among US consumers, topping at roughly 100,000 sales, its numbers in recent years have immensely declined to dismal figures.

In fact, CNBC reports that the units sold in the last two years are only around 17,000.

However, even if the sales of the iconic full-sized sedan have been falling off these days, the automaker is still introducing a new performance version of the 300, albeit only on a limited run.

2023 Chrysler 300C Sports the Hemi V8 Engine

For the last time, Chrysler stuffs its 300 sedan with a powerful 6.4-liter Hemi V8, which packs impressive horsepower and torque.

According to a recent report by CNET, Chrysler introduced the new 2023 300C during the 2022 Detroit Auto Show on September 13.

The all-new 300C lashes out a cool 485 horses, along with an impressive 475 pound-feet of torque. To put these numbers into perspective, the Hemi V8 pushes the limited-edition full-sized sedan from 0 to 5 miles per hour (mph) in merely 4.3 seconds.

It would only be available in 2,000 units in the United States, while customers in Canada are lucky enough to also get their hands on 200 units.

Chrysler 300 EV?

The automaker kept mum about its next move after killing its 300 sedan. But CNBC reports that it could be replaced by the new all-electric Airflow concept.
