It will take on the likes of the Lamborghini Urus, Bentley Bentayga W12 and the Aston Martin DBX707.

Ferrari has finally taken the wraps off its first-ever SUV, the Purosangue.

The Ferrari Purosangue has been a much-awaited ‘four-door, four-seater’ model from the Italian carmaker. It will take on the likes of the Lamborghini Urus, Bentley Bentayga W12 and the Aston Martin DBX707; among others.

The new Purosangue comes powered by a 6.5-litre naturally-aspirated V12 engine. It produces 715 BHP and 716 Nm and is paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, sending power to all four wheels. Ferrari claims the SUV is capable of sprinting from 0 – 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds while reaching a top speed of 310 km/h.

In terms of design, the Purosangue borrows a number of its design cues from the Ferrari Roma. The car features slim LED lighting at the front and rear, a sloping coupe-like roofline, 22-inch front and 23-inch rear alloy wheels, along with quad exhaust and diffuser at the rear. However, a standout feature of the Purosangue is it’s rear-hinged back doors with a 79-degree swing, making ingress and egress for passengers much easier.

Inside, the Purosangue carries forward many of the features and tech from its other supercar & GT models. However, what is different is that the SUV doesn’t get a centrally-mounted infotainment system. Instead, both driver and front passenger get their own individual display screens. The central console in between though features all the in-seat controls. At the rear, the Purosangue comes with two individual seats, replacing the conventional bench seat. The SUV also features a 473-litre boot space.

Ferrari is yet to announce the pricing for its Purosangue SUV.
