There is a myriad of flagships coming in July with the new Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and the Dimensity 9000/9000+ SoCs. Digital Chat Station revealed that at least 13 new flagships will come in this month, and the evidence is popping out everywhere. Xiaomi, OnePlus, Lenovo, Motorola, and ASUS are preparing new contenders for July. The latter will reveal the ROG Phone 6 which will be the first gaming smartphone with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. However, it won’t be the only one for a long time as Black Shark is moving to introduce the Shark 5S and 5S Pro. Today, the tipster Digital Chat Station returns with some preliminary specifications for the two devices.

Black Shark 5S and 5S Pro alleged specifications

According to the tipster, the Black Shark 5S and 5S Pro will feature a pressure-sensitive 6.67-inch OLED display. It has a Full HD+ resolution and a center-aligned punch-hole. The refresh rate is not mentioned in the leak, but apparently, the company will target the 144 Hz refresh rate. ASUS, on the other hand, will bring a 165 HZ refresh rate with the upcoming ROG Phone 6. Moving on, the Black Shark 5S and 5S Pro will bring the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. It also has faster SSD+UFS storage.

xiaomi black shark 5s specs have been tipped

In terms of optics, the Xiaomi Black Shark 5S will pack a 65 MP main camera. The Black Shark 5S Pro will bring a 108 MP main camera instead. Both phones will get 4,790 mAh batteries with 120 W wired charging. other specifications include an X-axis motor, stereo speakers, and magnetic gaming triggers. The Xiaomi Black Shark 5S is expected to launch in late September.

Unfortunately, these details are everything we have right now. However, the launch should not be too far, and therefore, we expect the first teasers to start to appear very soon. Worth noting, that Lenovo Legion Halo is also in the pipeline with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. It will join the ROG Phone and Black Shark to conquer the gaming segment.
